My Bio

I am currently living and working in New York City. Most recently I had the pleasure of working on a new play called Look Away, based on the life of Franz Kafka.
In June of this year I finished up my Master's degree in Acting from The Ohio State University. The program melds a traditional actor training core of contemporary and classical styles, voice and movement training with a large component of creating new work. My emphasis was in Movement, primarily the Suzuki, Viewpoints and Alexander Techniques, Composition, Dance, Laban for Actors, Mime, and Stage Combat. Suzuki, Viewpoints and Composition I studied under Anne Bogart and the SITI Company, Mime and Laban I studied under Jeanine Thompson, and Alexander I studied under William Conable and Dale Beaver. I am also a creator/collaborator with a passion for devising new work.
I completed my undergraduate work at Arizona State University, where I earned a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Acting. During that time, I was able to study Acting (Stanislavsky and Meisner) under Marshall Mason and Directing with Victoria Holloway. I was a core member of the Prism Theatre, a student-run nonprofit theatre company on campus, and had the opportunity of serving as the Artistic Director during the 2004-2005 season. My undergraduate work also included quite a bit of Performance Art and Theatre for Social Change, melding my Social Justice interest with my Art.
I have studied Dance at Langham's Dance and Acrobatic Center, Devney's Dance Academy, Arizona State University and The Ohio State University. Dance is one of my great life passions and it influences my theatre often and fluidly.
I am dedicated to a lifelong curiosity and thirst to continue learning. I believe it is only through a relentless striving for something greater than yourself that you can hope to find some kind of truth. In other words, lights in eyes, fires under asses, and joyously attack the challenges at hand.
