The following is an excerpt from my manifesto, entitled My Personifesta.
It is offered as a tidbit of my aesthetic and my worldview.
I am committed to:
- embrace ferocity and humanity
- not pandering
- taking risks
- theatre that makes me sweat as a performer
- performing and appreciating unreasonable
feats of bodily magnificence
- doing my best to respect all people
- humbling myself and trusting myself
- caring about and for myself and the world
around me - people, animals, plants, minerals
- being as patient as I can be
- not being afraid to be pissed-off when it's
necessary
- not being ashamed of my work
- tenderness and strength
- avoiding milque-toastiness at all costs
